Class Description

Learn the skills you need to develop a convincing character, by developing your acting skills in expressing comedy and drama with honest reactions and emotions. By focusing on understanding the different parts of a script, the central message, overarching storyline, and the motivation of individual characters, young actors will improve their ability to portray the characters within it.

La'Netia Taylor

La’Netia D. Taylor is excited to be involved with CYT! She proudly hails from East Texas! La'Netia has worked professionally in the industry for over two decades, as an on-air personality, producer, voice talent, & writer (Christian & secular). As a purple-wearing graduate of TCU (BS/Radio-TV-Film & English), she has extensive training/experience in public speaking, acting, dance, music, & the classical discipline of mime. La’Netia’s passion for media/arts also includes mentoring & training beginning performers, as well as pursuing a professional acting career. Some of La’Netia’s career/performance highlights include working for the Walt Disney Company, Founder/Artistic Director of the award-winning, “With New Eyes” Mime Team (now part of ‘Created To Create’ Ministries), performing for the Neil Simon Summer Festival (Utah) & various productions Gateway Church’s (lead/featured) Truthical (Original Cast), playing her bucket-list role of “Rafiki" Her heart motto is, “glorifying God through the arts, and in life.” To connect with her, feel free to reach her through her website:
