For the past nine years, CYT Dallas has been a home for young people to grow in character, confidence, and creativity through the transformative power of the performing arts. Now, as we approach our milestone 10th anniversary season, we’re stepping out in faith to turn The Character Factory into a primary performance facility by Fall 2025.

Each year, we’ve invested nearly $40,000 in rental costs just to bring our MainStage productions to life—funds that go to venues instead of into the future of our students. It’s time to change that.

We believe our community's support should directly build CYT Dallas, not just rent space for a week. By developing our own facility, we’re not only creating a stage—we’re laying a foundation that will serve thousands of students, families, and community members for generations to come.

This phase establishes the core infrastructure needed for basic theatrical functionality and safety.

Phase 2 - The Audience Experience

Goal: $65,000
This phase transforms the space into a comfortable, immersive experience for families and audiences.
  • Raised Seating (250 Chairs) – $25,000 (Estimated)
  • Wing Space Wall Construction – $15,000 (Estimated)
  • HVAC/Climate Enhancements – $10,000 
  • Signage, Lobby Aesthetic, Paint, Touch-ups – $5,000
  • Stage Access + ADA Modifications – $10,000
Why it matters: This stage ensures audiences and families experience excellence in comfort, sightlines, and accessibility.

Phase 3 - Legacy & Longevity – The Character Café

Goal: $75,000
This final phase creates a revenue-generating, community-building space and adds value for students, families, and patrons.
  • Character Café Buildout – $56,000–$60,000
  • Furnishings, POS system, and Equipment – $10,000
  • Exterior Branding + Finishing Touches – $5,000–$9,000
Why it matters: The café creates a gathering place for connection, fundraising, and elevates the CYT experience year-round.
