Tyler is so excited and passionate about God, CYT and all things theater! He has been blessed to be able to travel the US, Canada and South Africa, performing and teaching. After performing and working in community theater, regional theater and local professional theater, he was introduced to CYT. He has been a member of the CYT family since November of 2012; first as a teacher and then Artistic Director for CYT Indianapolis. After serving CYT Indy, Tyler was led to Dallas where he founded CYT Dallas-Fort Worth, Inc. He is passionate and dedicated to teaching CYT students to give our talents back to God for His glory!
Shannon is excited to be a part of CYT Dallas growth and mission showing people Jesus through theater. She has over 25 years experience in strategic management and event planning. She also has worked with middle school and high schoolers for over 10 years in the coaching capacity. She enjoys working with youth sharing the gospel with them in a real way. She has been married to Dr. J Mahoney for over 30 years and each year is counted as a joy - he is her biggest encourager and supporter. Together they have three (now four) children -Noah and daughter-in-law, Tamara and grandson Colt, daughter Erin and their youngest son Josh who is a CYT Dallas alum.
Resident Stage Manager
Kate Gesch holds a bachelor’s degree in Arts Management and Musical Theatre from Eastern Michigan University, where she stage managed for the theatre and dance departments. Her resume includes Studio Manager for Dance Gallery Studio/Peter Sparling Dance Company in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Stage Manager for the Undermain Theatre in Dallas, Texas, and Box Office and Promotions Manager for the Department of Dance and Theatre at the University of North Texas. Since joining CYT Dallas in 2016, Kate has served as Managing Director, Production Stage Manager, CYT@Schools Instructor, and Camp Director. She also recently directed the MainStage musical, Alice: A Wonder-full New Musical.
Cassie holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where she directed, stage managed, acted in, and served as a technician for over 10 productions, and served as the president of the campus drama club. She has been involved in theatre and in ministry both for as long as she can remember, and her greatest passion is using the powerful tool of the arts to advance the Kingdom of God.
Resident Costume Designer
Susan is a graduate of Coe College, a small college in Cedar Rapids, IA, with a major in Business Admin/Accounting. She enjoys putting these skills to work overseeing small businesses and ministries with their books. She is a veteran home-school mom, retiring after 27 years of home educating. Originally from Wisconsin, Susan and her husband Pat have 6 kids, 10 grandkids, and enjoy camping, family activities.
