Description

In this eight week class, students will be introduced to all three aspects of musical theater: acting, singing, and dancing! 

Each student receives: 
- Actor's Book
- Two free tickets to CYT Dallas' production of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" 

There will be a free showcase on the last week of class to see what your students have learned!

Faith Tate

Faith has been part of the CYT Dallas family from the very beginning. She has performed in 20 CYT shows, participated in countless CYT classes, been a CYT camp intern for many summer camps, and Craft Director for the CYT summer camp. She is so excited to share her love for musical theater and the knowledge she has learned throughout the years. Faith is a graduate from Valley Creek Leadership Academy. She has over 10 years of childcare experience and absolutely loves working, teaching, and playing with all age groups. She is so excited to be a CYT teacher!

Katie Laymon Hill

With 30 years of stage experience and a voice trained in everything from the grit of Gospel to the glitz of Broadway, Katie Laymon Hill is a powerhouse vocalist and educator. Her journey began at age four, leading to a career that spans the Orpheum Theater in Memphis, professional studio work, and prestigious stages across the DFW area. Having mastered a vast vocal spectrum including jazz, opera, and musical theater. Katie previously served as a full time instructor and the Producer/Assistant Director of the Advanced Performer Showcase in Dallas, where she specialized in developing high level stage talent.Now in her second year with the CYT family, Katie’s true passion remains in the classroom. For Katie, music is a lifelong calling; she believes we perform not just because we are gifted, but to find a deeper purpose. She is dedicated to helping her students find their unique voices while instilling the confidence and heart it takes to truly own the stage.
