We are so glad you are joining us for classes! Please read the below information carefully.

Current Registration Requirements

All published staff/dates/times/locations are subject to change.

Online registration at CYT Dallas is available up to 24 hours after the second class meeting. Late registrations are not prorated.
All balances must be paid in full before students can be enrolled. To ensure prompt enrollment, pay online when registering. The credit card processing fee is included when paying online!
Since some classes fill quickly, register early! We do have a wait list for classes that fill, however, it's highly unlikely that that wait list is activated.
Students must meet age requirements by the first class day of the session.
Some classes require additional fees or the purchase of supplies (e.g. make-up or tap shoes).
If student auditions for a production and is not cast, no class refund will be issued.
No refunds will be given once 24 hours have passed after the second class meeting.
There is a $25.00 fee to cover third-party processing charges for cancellations and refunds will be prorated.
Confirmation of registration payment is emailed.
Confirmation paperwork, once enrolled, is available from your family summary page.
Payment can be made online, by mail, or in person.
If we have to cancel the full session of your particular class due to enrollment and there is no other option you are interested in, we will give you a full refund (no third-party fee).
Attendance is crucial for both individual progress and maintaining class dynamics. If a student misses three classes within a show session (Fall, Winter, Spring), they will be removed from the class. This policy also applies to students participating in a CYT Dallas Production; missing three classes will result in removal from the production as well.

Audition Classes

Some classes are audition-based classes and may require a longer commitment. In this case, you will not register for the class. Pending auditions, you will be added to the class.
Students who do not make the class will be notified via email and given the option to select another class.

CYT Dallas Age Policy

Age Requirements:
Students must meet the minimum age requirement and must not exceed the maximum age requirement by the first day of the program, whether it’s the start of a class, a camp, or auditions for a show. For example, 7-year-olds and 19-year-olds are not eligible to audition for shows. We hope this will clarify any questions and ensure that each student is in a program best suited to their age and stage of development. Additionally:

Students must meet the age requirement for classes before the first day of the class. This applies to both Trimester and Studio Classes.
No student will be required to drop out of a class mid-session due to age.

Special Requirements for Students Turning 18:
For students who turn 18, we have implemented a few additional steps to align with our commitment to safety and character development:

Sign a new Commitment to Character
Consent to a Background Check through Protect My Ministry
Successfully complete a Child Safety Course through Protect My Ministry

Contractual Age Requirements:
In certain cases, shows like The Lion King or Les Misérables have age requirements determined by the licensor. In these situations, CYT will adhere to the contracted age requirements, as they supersede our own. If a student requests an exception, we can submit a request; however, we will ultimately comply with the licensing company’s guidelines.Age Requirements for CYT Programs:

Age 3 (Potty-trained): Wiggles classes/camp
Age 5: Our Gang classes/camp
Age 8: Show Auditions and Kids classes/camp
Age 13: Teen classes/camp

Class Tuition Policies

The following tuition policies apply to both Trimester and Studio Classes:

Tuition Policies - Studio Classes

The following policies apply to Studio Classes:
Your monthly tuition payments will be automatically billed to the card on file. Tuition is due on the 1st of every month and will be processed through auto-billing. You will receive an emailed receipt promptly after your tuition is billed on the 1st. For detailed tuition rates, please refer to our rate sheet.

CYT Studio Class tuition covers the entire programming season from August to May. Payment for the full season is mandatory for all students and is not based on the number of classes per month or attendance. Please note that there are no refunds for missed classes; however, we offer makeup classes in similar styles to accommodate missed sessions.

Tuition Schedule: Tuition rates cover the full season from August to May and are divided into equal monthly payments from August through May. This payment secures a student's place in their selected class or classes and must be paid irrespective of attendance each month.
Monthly Consistency: Tuition remains the same each month, regardless of the number of class weeks (some months may have five weeks, while others may have two or three).
Discount: A 5% discount is available for those who choose to pay in full for the entire season upfront.
Tuition Schedule:
- Tuition is billed monthly based on each family’s enrollment date.
- Monthly charges will recur on the same calendar day each month (e.g., enrolled on the 12th → charged on the 12th).
Grace Period & Late Fees:
- Payments are considered late if not received within 7 days of the scheduled charge.
- A $25 late fee per student will be applied on the 8th day after the payment due date.
- If payment is not received by Day 15, the student may be temporarily suspended from attending class until the balance is paid in full.
Returned Checks: There will be a $25 charge for all returned checks.
Refund Policy: No refunds will be given for any month in which a class or classes have already occurred. No refunds are given for Pay-In-full accounts.
Special Circumstances: In cases of prolonged illness or injury, please contact the office to discuss possible tuition adjustments.

Withdrawal Policy: Studio Classes are a 10 month financial commitment running from August-May. Because Studio tuition is included in CYT Dallas's annual budget planning, advance notice is required if a family needs to withdraw from a class. If a student needs to withdraw from a Studio Class, families must:

Provide written notice to the Education Staff at least 30 days in advance of the 1st day of the next month, and
Submit the Studio Class Drop Form

Failure to provide timely notice and complete the drop form will result in continued tuition charges. Example: To avoid being charged October tuition, the family must provide written notice by September 1 and complete the drop form.

This payment policy is designed to ensure the smooth operation of our classes and to maintain fairness for all participants. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Additional Policies

Dress Code: Please wear modest, movement-friendly clothing, closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops or Crocs), and have girls' hair pulled back. Your teacher will have more specifics depending on the specialty of your class.
Rescheduling/Substitution: CYT Dallas reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher at any time. CYT Dallas reserves the right to reschedule or combine classes.
Attendance: Attendance is crucial for both individual progress and maintaining class dynamics. This policy also applies to students participating in a CYT Dallas Production; missing more than three classes will result in removal from the production as well.
- Fall Session: August 17, 2026 - November 8, 2026
- Winter Session: November 9, 2026 - February 21, 2027
- Spring Session: February 22, 2027 - May 29, 2027
Studio Closure: In the event of inclement weather or a mandatory CYT closure, we will notify you via email and social media. While we generally follow local school closings, we may make independent decisions based on specific circumstances. In such cases, we will inform you about makeup classes. Makeup classes may be conducted either in-studio or digitally.
