Hadestown: Teen Edition is one of the most exciting and challenging productions CYT Dallas has ever staged, and we want every student to feel prepared, confident, and ready to grow.

This special workshop is designed to help students understand the demands of this production, strengthen key performance skills, and gain clarity about the audition and rehearsal process. Participants will explore vocal style, acting approach, movement expectations, and ensemble storytelling...all while learning what it truly takes to bring this show to life.

In the meantime, the very best thing any great performer can do before stepping into a production is simple: study the show. That means listening to the cast recording, becoming familiar with the story, understanding the characters, and noticing how the music and dialogue work together to tell the narrative.

When performers enter a process already familiar with the show's world, they can learn faster, take direction more confidently, and contribute more fully to the storytelling. Think of it like learning the map before starting the journey...it makes every step clearer.
